Unlike Western assassins, ninjas are often affiliated with an organization (a ninja clan or ninjutsu group).
Origin
Developed from specialized espionage groups originating in the Iga and Kลka regions during Japan's Sengoku period. They possessed a distinct combat philosophy separate from the samurai class.
