The bow gun, or crossbow, is a mechanical bow designed to make shooting projectiles easier and more powerful. Origin
Originating in ancient China, the crossbow spread to Korea, Japan, and across Europe. In Korea, it was adopted during the Goryeo and Joseon periods for military use, especially in fortress defense and open combat.
