Runemaster
็งๆฉ่กๅธซ ยท Runemaster โ A mage who inscribes the laws of the world into ancient script
A magical class that infuses magical energy into rune (Rune) characters, inscribing them onto weapons, armor, and environments. Slower than traditional spellcasting, but once a rune is inscribed, it exerts permanent effects โ a defining characteristic of durability. Odin of Norse mythology is the first runemaster.
Origin
Directly derived from the runic script faith of the Norse Vikings. The archetype is the myth of Odin hanging upside down on Yggdrasil for 9 days of ordeal before obtaining the runes.
Features
- Rune Inscription: permanently enchanting weapons, armor, walls, and the ground with magical script
- Rune Bomb: exploding a rune-inscribed object for area-of-effect magical attacks
- Defensive Runes: barriers that nullify specific elements or attack types
- Deciphering ancient runes โ interpreting the secrets of seals, curses, and relics
Usage
The strongest in prolonged battles and base defense. A base fortified with runes is nearly impenetrable even by an army.
Weakness
Long rune inscription time prevents instant combat response. Vulnerable to rune-breaking magic.
