The lowest rank among shadow spirits, known by names such as Death Fire and Death. It manifests spontaneously in places imbued with the energy of death โ graveyards, battlefields, ruins. Appears as a small dark flame, possessing a faint ability to absorb the life force of its surroundings. Its will is simple but it is instinctively drawn to living things.
Origin
The prevailing theory is that it is a being formed from the incomplete spiritualization of fallen soldiers' souls. In medieval Europe, the phosphorescence naturally occurring in battlefield marshes was believed to be the souls of dead soldiers transformed.

Usage

Appears in humanoid form but its body is composed of darkness, feeling as though one's hand sinks in upon touch. Highly intelligent and cold-blooded, it instinctively perceives an opponent's weaknesses.
