Salamander · Kasha — Lesser Fire Spirit

The lowest rank among fire spirits. A small lizard-form spirit wreathed entirely in flames, with faint will and emotion, driven purely by instinct toward warmth. Also known as Kasha in some regions, depicted as a flaming cat. The fire spirit most commonly sought by novice summoners for their first contract.

Ifrit · Sallist — Intermediate Fire Spirit

The intermediate rank among fire spirits. A towering humanoid body composed entirely of flames, possessing clear will and intellect. Also known as Sallist. Depending on the work, Ifrit may appear not as an intermediate spirit but as a Spirit King. It personally evaluates potential contractors and refuses those it deems unworthy.

Fire-Drake · Ignis · Salaime — Superior Fire Spirit

The superior rank among fire spirits. A mighty dragon-form spirit known by names such as Ignis and Salaime. Though distinct from true dragons, it commands comparable awe. Summoners capable of contracting it are exceedingly rare.

Saleana — Supreme Fire Spirit

The supreme rank among fire spirits, positioned just below the Phoenix Spirit King, with near-complete dominion over the fire element. Appears in a form somewhere between humanoid and dragon, capable of creating a wide-area vacuum inferno by consuming surrounding oxygen. Occasionally entrusted by the Spirit King to command the lower fire spirits.

Phoenix · Sallion — Fire Spirit King

The pinnacle of fire spirits, the Spirit King. Also known as Sallion. Appears in the form of a phoenix, and its very existence is the law of flames. Possesses true immortality — even if destroyed, it resurrects within fire. It governs all fire elements in the world. In recorded history, fewer than five summoners have ever completed a true contract with it.

Cinder Sprite — Lesser Spirit of Embers

A tiny fire spirit that dwells within dying embers. Appearing as a palm-sized winged humanoid scattering faint orange sparks, it is most potent in the final moments before a flame goes out entirely. More expressive than a Salamander, though still of low intelligence.

Logi — Spirit of the Consuming Flame

A mid-ranked fire spirit known in Norse mythology as 'fire itself.' Its nature was revealed when it defeated Loki in an eating contest by consuming bones and bowls alike — a manifestation of the primal truth that flame devours everything. It appears as a giant humanoid wreathed in transparent blue-white fire that rapidly incinerates all it touches.

Agni — Sacred Messenger of the Flame

The Hindu god of fire and sacred messenger between gods and mortals. Depicted with three heads and seven tongues, he conveys offerings to the gods through the sacred fire of ritual. He governs both purification and destruction — what his flame touches is either purified or utterly consumed.

Suzaku · 朱雀 — Sacred Red Bird of the South

The divine red bird that guards the southern direction among the Four Symbols of East Asian mythology. Similar to the phoenix but fundamentally different: while the phoenix symbolizes rebirth, Suzaku is the guardian deity of summer, fire, and war. Its five-colored plumage causes all southern flames to surge in unison when its wings are spread. A celestial entity directly linked to the southern star mansion.

Kagutsuchi · 軻遇突智 — King of the Destructive Flame

The supreme fire deity of Japanese mythology. At the moment of his birth, his flames burned his mother Izanami to death — a symbol that creation and destruction are inseparable. Slain by his grief-stricken father Izanagi, yet from his blood and body fragments dozens of divine beings were born. Fire is both death and birth, and he is the king who embodies that contradiction in himself.
